Characteristics of a Ragamuffin

Your RagaMuffin kitten will grow to be a large cat, with an easy care , medium to long coat.   They enjoy much attention and tend to be very outgoing, friendly lapcats.   These huggable, cuddly cats often go limp in your arms.   Females average from eight to fifteen pounds when mature, and they may go to twenty pounds.   Males often reach more than twenty pounds, with some reaching thirty.  Maturity is reached between three and four years of age, and they remain playful throughout their adult lives.

Muffins tend to bond with their owners; they enjoy interaction with family members, and often with visitors as well.
They develop some traits usually associated with puppies, following family members around the house, "helping" with the household chores.  RagaMuffins are intelligent; they are often taught to walk on a leash, fetch, roll over, sit to beg, etc.  They get along well with children, dogs, and other cats.   Having been bred to have an extremely docile, trusting nature, the RagaMuffin thinks everyone should be his friend.   Muffins are not equipped to deal with the dangers of the outside world, and must be strictly  indoor cats.

The RagaMuffin comes in a rainbow of colors and patterns including, but not limited to :

  • Colors: seals, chocolate, blue, lilac, mink, black,  silver, shaded, smoke, cameo, and red.
  • Patterns: Color point, lynx point, Bi-color, mitted, solid, tabby, tortie, and calico, all with or without white.

They look at the world through eyes that come in an array of beautiful colors such as:

  • blue, green, gold, amber, odd eyed and aqua.
  • The color points will all have blue eyes.
